Remarkable Metal Sculptures by MGGS A Level Product Design Students

MGGS Year 12 Product Design students have been showcasing their creative metalworking skills in their first design and make project.

Using sheet metal and specialist tools, the A Level students explored a range of practical techniques, including planishing, riveting and hammering, to form and add texture to their mini sculptures. In experiencing the physical working properties of the material, the class were also able to contextualise the theory of processes such as forming, redistribution, and wasting.

Here are some examples of the students’ amazing mini metal sculptures!
