MGGS opens its doors for Open Morning & Afternoon

On the 2nd & 3rd of July MGGS welcomed Year 4 & 5 students and their parents to our Open Morning and Afternoon.

We were delighted to see so many visitors who took a tour of MGGS during a normal school day, delivered by our students, and then had the opportunity to enjoy Dance performances. This was followed by a talk from our Headteacher, Miss Stanley and some current Year 7 students.

“I just wanted to pass on our sincerest thanks to you and your school for the open morning today. We visited with our daughter, who is currently in year 4, and we were so impressed with what we saw.

We were greeted even from the car park with big happy smiles, and then got introduced to our tour guide Lilia. She was fabulous, so enthusiastic, confident, approachable, she knew the answers to all our questions and she made a concerted effort to connect with our daughter and make sure she felt comfortable.

Every time she saw a teacher or a friend she was delighted and introduced us to everyone. What a happy lovely place! I wanted to come to your school, let alone my daughter. All the children we met seemed so settled and happy and they spoke so highly of their teachers and passionately about their subjects.

… I’d be very proud indeed if she had the same attitude as your girls when she reaches that age.
