A Message from our Headteacher as the Term Draws to a Close

It was very pleasing to see the return of the Carol Service at All Saints Church, having been very much missed in recent years due to Covid and snow. My thanks to Mr Chapman, Mrs Wood and Miss Stanley for organising the music and readings for this event.

The last week of term always brings Rag week. My thanks to our Head students, Amelia, Caitlin, Freya, James and Katie for organising this year’s event… so far it has raised £4,125 for our sister school in Nepal and our local charities; Oasis Domestic Abuse, Just Like Us and RSPCA.

Farewells and Welcomes:

As we are saying farewell to Mrs Summers, Teacher in charge of Biology, and Miss Bailey, Teacher of Mathematics who are moving to new positions. We wish them all the very best for their future.

From January Mr Walker becomes Deputy Headteacher and we welcome Mr Green as Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for KS5.

We look forward to welcoming students back to MGGS on Tuesday, 2nd January 2024.

Can I conclude by wishing each family a peaceful, healthy and Happy Christmas.

Non sibi sed omnibus!

Miss Deborah Stanley, Headteacher
