Frantic Assembly Visit MGGS
On Monday, September 11th Sean Hollands from Frantic Assembly theatre company ran a four hour devising workshop with yr 12 and 13 A level Drama and Theatre students. As part of the A level course students work in groups to devise their own pieces taking influence from a chosen practitioner.
The aim of the session was to let our students experience how a professional company creates new material and to provide them with a bank of skills to use in their own devising work.
It was a fast-paced and energetic session which helped our students to enhance their use of movement, directing skills and critical analysis. We can’t wait to see how they use what they learnt in the session in their own work!
