Year 10 MFL Trip to Reims

On Wednesday 19th June, 40 Year 10 students headed for Reims in Northern France.  After an enjoyable journey, we arrived in Reims and settled quickly in our rooms before going bowling.

The next day, we spent part of the morning discovering the town centre as well as the Cathedral in which all the French Kings and Queens were crowned for centuries. We then visited our pen pal school for the rest of the morning before experiencing having lunch in a French canteen and doing more activities with our pen pals.  It was a real highlight to learn the differences (and similarities) between our two countries and also to feel brave enough to try to speak French!  It was lovely to see so many students making new friends by the end of the day!

Finally, we visited the 150 years old Mercier Champagne factory situated in the middle of large vineyards.

On Friday, we spent the day at Disneyland Paris and despite the crowd, students had the opportunity to experience all the main rides and even met some of the Disney characters! Everyone was extremely happy, even though very tired at the end of the day! #Besttripever!
